I believe that our inner Being is already whole and complete and fully enlightened. There is nothing we have to do to earn our right to be in bliss right now. So what stops us from experiencing this enlightenment and living in the world with grace and ease?
For me, an answer lies in the insight drawn from the new healing modalities like EFT that all symptoms – whether emotional or physical – are the result of disruptions in our energy fields. In our essence we are whole and complete, but various traumas and negative experiences from the moment we are born (and even before) create blockages in our energy fields. We feel these blockages as repeated negative patterns, thoughts or emotions.
It is these emotions that make us feel separate from God/Higher-self/All that is. My conviction is that through practices of enlightened therapy one can defuse these blockages and defenses, liberating the essential Being we already are.
I have been privileged to witness such awakenings in many of my clients, and I have been lucky enough to experience the same under the guidance of those to whom I go for my own transformational work. With care and patience and courage we can unlock the doors that keep our hearts shuttered against the world. When we live from the heart, all those difficult and apparently unsolvable issues that drove us so mercilessly for resolution resolve into the utter simplicity of life as it is.
Knowing that there’s nothing you have to be or do or have in order to enjoy peace right now is my definition of enlightenment. That awareness is waiting within you right now.
